Two-Tone Deck with Illuminated Entry Stairs
Project Overview
Light deck boards and dark-brown edge details create a defined outdoor platform beside this red-brick home. White posts and rails frame slender black balusters, carrying the same contrast around the deck and down the stairs. A transverse board adds definition across the main walking surface.
The entry stairs are a focal point. Dark-brown treads sit above white risers with small recessed lights visible in the approach views. A second stair connection reaches the covered side entrance. Below the deck, white framing surrounds dark horizontal panels and a hinged access door.
Analysis
The light deck surface stands apart from the brick facade, while dark-brown border boards mark its edge. The stair detail view shows lighter inserts between the brown tread borders. White railing frames keep the perimeter consistent, with black balusters repeating the dark accents used beneath the platform.
Process
